Learning goals

Just as with any other international move, transitioning to a new life in the Netherlands comes with its challenges. Dutch behaviour in business meetings, or communication between managers and employees can be confusing; building new business relations may be demanding. Outside of work, newcomers may feel overwhelmed by the prospect of ‘rebuilding’ their social life in a foreign country.

This programme paves the way to a successful career and social life in the Netherlands:

Cultural and self-awareness

You will become more aware of your own cultural preferences and background, including your reaction to “strangeness”.

Intercultural Assessment

You will complete an intercultural assessment designed to illustrate how you approach intercultural interactions.

Cultural Transition Process

You will develop personal strategies for dealing with the cultural transition process.

Understanding Dutch Patterns of Behaviour

You will improve understanding of Dutch business cultural and behavioural patterns.

Intercultural Communication

Business Culture in The Netherlands
